Position Description

The Director of Procurement Finance is responsible for Refresco’s procurement financial planning and risk management strategies. Leading a team of high-performing finance professionals, the role requires one to guide them through the development of Refresco's long-term strategy by providing timely insights into operational results, trends, and growth drivers.

In addition to owning the procurement’s Annual Planning Process (AOP), the Monthly Standard Update Process, the Monthly Rolling 12 months Market Forecast, the Quarterly Forecast Process, the Monthly Synergy file, and working closely with FP&A, Accounting, and Commercial Finance. The candidate will continually implement Enhancements to Refresco’s Financial Infrastructure, enabling deeper insights into the company performance.

This role will also help the business build decision-making discipline by aligning Commercial and Procurement resources with growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of being an exceptional leader, a strong cross-functional collaborator, and an innovative, strategic thinker who can find the opportunities for upside.

Key Accountabilities:

The following are essential duties and responsibilities for this position:

  • Manage and develop the Procurement Finance team. Review and evaluate the current process and recommend changes where needed
  • Align and Improve collaboration with Central Procurement Managers, Central Integration Office, and Global Procurement North America
  • Build budget and forecasts which embody strategic planning and analysis of initiatives including vertical integration opportunities
  • Maximize business profitability through analyzing and understanding the commodity markets and track and report the saving opportunities achieved by the procurement team.
  • Partner with the Procurement, Commercial, and Finance Leadership teams to evaluate and set company strategy, providing expertise on financial drivers, opportunities and aligned on expectations
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis for Procurement and Commercial initiatives to assess ROI, risks/rewards, go-to-market assumptions, costs, etc.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc analysis and reporting to the Leadership team ensuring a high degree of quality, timeliness, accuracy, and business insight
  • Improve and scale financial systems, tools, and processes by evaluating and implementing new technology and policies
  • Oversee pricing function including evaluation of market competitiveness and profitability of all products and business lines
  • Develop financial processes and models that assess and control capital requests, supplier agreements, evaluate make vs buy strategy.
  • Have processes in place to ensure that transactions are accurately and appropriately recorded and to deliver reporting requirements for cross functional US parent company and UK statutory filings

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must demonstrate strategic ability, business acumen and ability to manage change; visionary leadership that is effective at all levels of the organization; and a commitment to support the procurement team
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, financial reporting, and cost analysis
  • Highly analytical with strong business acumen, able to transition easily between the strategic and the detailed
  • Able to demonstrate leadership with emphasis on strong supervisory skills and developing the team.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate complex financial matters to diverse audiences
  • Excellent organization skills, proven track record of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills.

Education and Experience:

  • 7+ years of finance leadership experience in Procurement, Commodity Analytics, or Global Sourcing
  • Finance or Accounting accreditation preferred (e.g. CFA, CA or CPA)
