Brief Summary of Purpose:


Under the direction of the VP Talent Management and the Sr. HR Business Partners, supports the Employee Relations function throughout the organization with a primary focus on initial assessment, providing counsel and facilitating a prompt and effective resolution to employee related matters. Interprets HR policies and practices and provides advice and counsel to management through the progressive discipline process. Conducts investigations related to harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wage and hour violations.


HR Compliance

  • Works closely with Sr. Talent Management Trainer to ensures HR employee record compliance for – PACE Med. Clearance, Background Check, and Training requirements.
Employee Relations
  • Advises management, as appropriate, of critical observations and conclusions; recommends actions to be taken to remedy problems identified. Escalates and involves Senior HR Business Partner on employee relations issues as appropriate.
  • Supports managers with performance improvement process, coaching managers towards improving employee performance. Reviews and approves progressive discipline documentation.
  • Coordinates involuntary termination of employment process. Facilitates separation of employment meetings.
  • Assists managers with due diligence analysis in preparation for reductions in staff.
  • Drafts severance agreements as needed.
  • Manages unemployment administration process by partnering with third party administrator, Managers and Sr. HRBP’s in preparing responses to unemployment claim.
  • Provides advice and counsel to managers and employees in preventing and intervening in personnel issues and makes recommendations which reflect a thorough understanding of employment laws, standards and regulations and balances employee advocacy with business needs.
  • Attends ADA Interactive meetings as appropriate

  • Builds and sustains consultative and proactive relationships with business leaders.
  • Provides timely and effective advice on HR related matters to employees, managers and senior leadership and documents appropriately.
  • Partners with other HR functional areas as needed to resolve internal customer issues.
  • Conducts risk assessments and provide actionable advice and feedback.
  • Leverages reporting and analytics to id employee relations trends and communicates to HRBP’s/Manager/Leaders to promote direction and promote positive employee relations throughout the organization.
  • Stays current on state and federal laws and regulations related to employment law.
  • Conducts thorough and confidential investigations in response to formal complaints.
  • Analyzes turnover data to identify potential trends; addresses concern with management and makes recommendations for improving the work environment.
  • Administers Exit Interviews (Culture Amp)
  • Administrative support for Council for Cultural Competence, invitations, charter, and other document updates.
  • Administers Touch Point process including communication and reporting
  • Provides input for HR Training sessions to teams on key employee related topics
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline or equivalent experience

License/Certifications;
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP or SHRM/SCP preferred

Experience:
  • Three to five years related experience required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
