Job Purpose

The purpose of the Engineering Intern is to provide support to the engineering team focusing on various engineering projections while gaining hands-on experience that is aligned in your career path.

Key Responsibilities

· Measure and develop CAD drawings for tooling in branding department

· Develop testing process and/or part design change for hanger lab testing

· Work with preventative maintenance to reduce setup times

· Create procedures for cataloging molds and continue mold database

· Study material mixes to minimize variation at extruders

· Develop a solution to minimize lean waste in Tool Room

· Test batches of material to better understand properties and their impact on our process

Qualifications and Experience

· Student majoring in Engineering – Mechanical Engineering preferred

· Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize engineering projects

· Ability to take initiative and demonstrates follow-through

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset

· Critical thinking and comprehension skills
