You’ll work on a team that provides a wide range of services to our Managing Directors & Partners (MDPs) and manages our MDP compensation and equity programs, including overseeing the annual MDP evaluation process and reporting cycle. In addition, the group supports a number of MDP ‘life cycle’ events (e.g., lateral hiring, promotions, departures, and transfers).
In this position, you will develop a deep understanding of the MDP equity programs and work closely with other PSG teams and Finance functions including Tax, Treasury and Global Accounting. The work is challenging, very visible and requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
The PSG Equity Manager role will support a range of operational processes on the PSG Equity team by assisting in the preparation and review, communication, and compliance functions for various MDP deliverables including:

Lead segments of work for MDP equity programs, working closely with program directors to provide general support for a subset of equity programs. The equity programs consist of a variety of investment vehicles in BCG and are denominated in multiple currencies.

Responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of a set of equity transaction data and information, ensuring all elements of transactions are recorded end to end, in accordance with specific country’s program parameters; including preparing calculations, reviewing legal documents, settling loans, executing equity transactions into our equity model, preparing and reviewing wires that are sent to Treasury for processing to MDP, and reconciling payables/receivables

Become a subject matter expert on MDP loan programs and own the documentation and reporting of these programs to finance functions; review current loan processes and explore ways to automate reporting and recurring system updates and analysis related to loan activity

Project manage components of the equity statement process as well as preparing/reviewing equity statements as part of the compensation and equity annual reporting process to individual MDPs

Lead analysts to prepare and be the reviewer of ad hoc and recurring analysis for MDPs and other finance functions e.g. cash forecasting for equity programs

Understand MDP lifecycle events and exceptions as well as global value policies in order to appropriately address impacts to equity transactions and reporting; cross-team closely with PSG Comp Team on lifecycle activity to ensure no gaps in processes

Engage with other PSG teams to continuously support and adapt our systems to the evolution of our models; suggest changes, provide requirements, perform UAT in areas of subject matter expertise

Document processes and procedures as well as building your digital knowledge to create and implement digital solutions that improve operational processes and controls

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; Basic GAAP accounting knowledge preferred

5-7+ years of experience in a related field, such as accounting/audit, compensation, financial operations, preferably with a global company

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Knowledge of various investment vehicles, either from an accounting or tax perspective highly desirable

Skilled in MS office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

PSG is the function responsible for the leadership and operation of all aspects of evaluation, compensation, equity and HR for our MDP cohort. The PSG team is within the Global Services function. Global Services (GS) consists of a varied range of functions providing corporate support of BCG's business and strategic priorities for example, Finance, Legal, HR, Marketing, IT, Risk, PSG and more. This diverse team of experts, operators and specialists represent all levels from MDP to entry level staff, operating across the globe in multiple countries.
