The Executive Director will optimize existing operations in the market’s cardiovascular group(s) to drive sustainable growth and best practice while ensuring efficient and high-quality governance and leadership in the delivery of exceptional cardiovascular health care.
The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt, collaborate and lead physicians and teams through cultural transformation, growth and execution of strategic objectives. Duties and Responsibilities
· Drives financial and operational excellence and leadership through setting of vision, building and leading the team, and delivering on the budgeted and strategic plan
· Accountable for market financial performance and targets/KPIs as set forth by the Board from time to time and as outlined in the value creation plans
· Continually improves operations by executing on strategies for growth and optimal performance and operating margin
· Leverages available data and metrics to assist the operations and physician leaders to drive best performance and highest-quality care
· Initiates, supports and implements new services
· Builds and maintains trusting relationships with the clinical and operational teams in alignment with organization mission, purpose and vision
· Work in partnership with clinical leadership to support operational improvements and growth strategies in alignment with clinical best practice while ensuring high physician engagement and quality
· Collaborate with the Regional President to set goals, define operations and set standards applicable to the Market
· Effectively communicates the vision, strategy and priorities across the group to ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed
· Partners with shared services to execute on budgets, forecasts, IT strategy/support and human resource plans
· Directs and manages group/market marketing, business development and promotion activities
· Organizes and ensures documentation and follow-up of governing body meetings and actions
· Facilitates the collation of operational information and metrics to help support the analysis and execution of excellent operational performance. Analyzes long term trends and develops recommendations for improvement.
· Leads and innovates with progressive ideas and will consider the best interests of patients and providers when evaluating decisions and implementing new approaches

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Experience Required:
· 7+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in cardiology and/or health services working directly with physicians
· Proven track record of team collaboration and delivery on objectives

· Ability to understand, direct and communicate complex data analysis and reporting
· Patient-focus in decision-making
· Can build strong relationships across the clinical support, administrative and physicians in the group
· Strong leadership skills and experience in liaising, influencing, and negotiating with staff across job families at all levels of the organization
· Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capability
· Superb stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral and ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
· Demonstrate ability to influence and engage others to work collaboratively across the organization to change and accept new ideas
· Strong financial skills and commercial acumen
· Ability to travel within the Market
· Comfort with dealing with ambiguity, uncertainty, complexity and time pressures
· Ability to use key software and analytic tools to support decision-making
· Proven experience in health care operations and leadership
· Understanding of physician practice process, workflow
