Job Description
CEA Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Operator for the CEAFAR2 Threat Emitter System & Radar Signal Emulator. This position will provide operation & sustainment support to a system of radar threat emulators being integrated into the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC) based out of Eielson Air Force Base. CEA Technologies, Inc. specializes in state-of-the-art element-level Digital Beam Formed AESA radar, communications & missile illumination systems for land & maritime environments.
Upon completion of onboarding, there may be opportunities for training & orientation traveling between various locations within the Nevada Test & Training Range, Ridgecrest CA & Point Mugu CA (Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division), Valparaiso FL (Eglin Air Force Base) & Fairbanks AK (Joint Pacific Alaska Radar Complex). After completion, this will be complemented potentially in 2023 by extensive on-the-job training at our parent company's facility in Canberra, Australia for approximately 6-12 weeks to become knowledgeable of all aspects required to operate & support these unique CEA systems.
If/when needed, the individual may be deployed to other U.S. ranges to support customer requirements.
Responsibilities / tasks include:
· Perform the operation of the CEAFAR2 Threat Emitter System & Radar Signal Emulator, a primarily PC-based platform to monitor & track air contacts
· Monitor & assist CEAFAR2 Threat Emitter System & Radar Signal Emulator tracking software in validating & reporting aircraft contacts within the radar coverage area
· Setup, operate & monitor communication equipment, computer terminals & video displays to ensure the integrity of the processed data
· Analyze & evaluate radar products & related performance
· Rapidly isolate system malfunctions & restore to an operational status
· Adapt to a variety of nonstandard problems, which require extensive operator intervention in coordination with outside agencies
· Use established policies & procedures & subject matter knowledge to complete assignments of moderate complexity that vary in nature & sequence
· Support the operation of the radars on various DoD test ranges including:
o Setup / teardown & performing serviceability assessment
o Support during remote field deployment & troubleshooting software & hardware anomalies
o Waveform validation
o Limited on-site corrective maintenance
o Diagnosing malfunctions & replacing components
o Detailed inspection, record keeping & administration
o Operate & maintain radar systems & associated power / cooling peripheral equipment
· Perform complex maintenance on all aspects of the radars covering various digital, RF, power & cooling hardware utilizing OEM supplied documentation to include drawings / schematics & computer-based diagnostic tools. Maintenance activities will include:
o Planned maintenance (inspections, servicing, calibration
o Corrective maintenance (troubleshooting, fault detection / isolation, screening, repair)
· Document your work according to the processes, standards & confidentiality guidelines
· Understand & comply with Safety, Security, Export, Information Technology rules & guidelines
· Work in remote work areas, indoors & outdoors, at elevated heights (~20 feet) & in confined spaces
· Willingness & ability to work in varying weather conditions
· Lift up to 50 pounds
· Ensure a professional, proactive & customer-oriented approach to the support of the radar systems

Basic Qualifications:
· Five years minimum demonstrated experience in the operation & sustainment of complex military electronic systems – ideally radar & EW systems
· Basic understanding of monitoring, maintaining & configuring network hardware / systems
· Hold a basic understanding of Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS)
· Associate’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., electronics, RF communications, etc.)
· Prior field experience
· Ability to adapt to a changing environment & handle multiple priorities
· Eager to apply your technical skills to learn new radar system operational concepts & apply that knowledge in the field
· Willingness & ability to work in varying weather conditions
· Possess technical & interpersonal skills necessary to perform in a tightly integrated team of engineers & technicians as well as independently in the field during high visibility exercises
· Must be capable of achieving a U.S. DoD SECRET clearance within six months of employment. Active DoD SECRET clearance preferred.
· Knowledge of & experience maintaining electrical, electronic, environmental, hydraulic & mechanical principles relating to radar & EW systems
· Must be willing & able (on potentially short notice) to deploy / travel to a variety of domestic locations & for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs
Desirable Qualifications:
· Active DoD SECRET clearance
· Knowledge of & experience maintaining electrical, environmental, hydraulic & mechanical subsystems relating to radar & EW systems
· Excellent communicator, both written & oral
· Project Management experience
· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint
