POSITION SUMMARY: The following represent the major essential and secondary duties of the position; however, they are not intended to be all-inclusive. The Housing Authority reserves the right to change, reassign, or combine job duties at any time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages all travel arrangements, pre and post, Travel payments and any required reimbursements from employee payroll.
• Assist various departments with training set up registration fees and scholarships. Ensure that related FBHA policies are followed.
• Responsible for all office supplies for all FBHA, making supply and delivers to the various departments of FBHA.
• Ensure that procurement of office equipment (copiers, printer, computer, etc.) vehicles and other heavy equipment follows FBHA policy.
• Creates and manages year contracts with consultants (legal, accounting, tech support, services, etc). Manage all high value assets of FBHA.
• Maintains inventories of assets and confirms the accuracy of the asset inventory at least every two years.
• Assist the Finance Director as needed with primary accounting software, asset software, property management software and elsewhere as needed.
• Must be familiar with budgets and creating excel spreadsheets.
• Supervise other finance staff, at the request of the Director and occasionally at the request of the Finance Director.
• And other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:

• The requirement for managing other only if needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Reading and researching for long periods of time.
• Some lifting of heavy boxes (up to 20 lbs.), for researching old documents.
• Walking up and down stairs and sitting for long periods of time.
• Driving long distances at times.
• Must be punctual and capable of completing tasks in a timely manner.
• Must become familiar with NAHSDA Regulations and finance regulations.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must have excellent office skills with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have basic knowledge of basic accounting skills.
• Must be able to handle job performance evaluations in a professional manner.
• Must be able to follow policies and procedures set forth by Federal Regulations.
• Must be willing to travel at the request of the Chief Finance Officer.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of tenants and landlords.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under minimal direction.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

• Must have Associate Degree in Business or two years work experience in finance.
• Must be computer literate for effective job performance.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing. FBHA Drug policy.
• Must be timely, dependable, courteous, and maintain a business-like appearance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Job location at Fort Berthold Housing Authority.
• Designated office space and access to office equipment.
• Proper work area is provided.
• First floor access does exist.
