Firmware Engineer - Moorestown, NJ

In-Depth Engineering seeks Firmware Engineer’s to support U.S Navy programs. The Firmware Engineer will work collaboratively with Hardware engineers as well as representatives from Manufacturing, Quality, Drafting and other engineering disciplines. Firmware Engineers to join a development team working on difficult signal processing challenges, developing, and supporting FPGA/CPLD embedded systems applications.


Work is performed in Moorestown NJ.


  • Participate on small multi-discipline teams to achieve project goals
  • RTL development utilizing hardware description language (e.g. VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog) and debug via simulation tools
  • Perform synthesis and place and route
  • Develop verification plans to support development
  • Support technical reviews and be able to present to internal and external customers
  • Support test sites/test shots when relevant FW updates are being tested/verified. On site lab support may be required at times.


Required Skills:

  • Experience in FPGA definition, design, debug, and test.
  • FPGA simulation experience using Object-orientated Programming
  • Prior experience in support of synthesis and place and route
  • Prior experience in support of verification plan execution and approaches to support development
  • Familiarity with implementing and testing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) modules and related algorithms

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Must be a U.S Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD secret clearance
