Position Overview:

Broad-Ocean Technologies is looking for a talented Human Resource Generalist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for the various human resource functions, including benefits administration, and payroll/timekeeping processes for 3 US based Broad-Ocean Motor companies. Position is onsite and located in our Novi office.

The ideal candidate will have a solid basic knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the full employee recruitment experience from first contact/first impression through onboarding and orientation
  • Processing payroll
  • Being a liaison with the finance department for tax filings, payments and audits
  • Benefits administration and auditing
  • Workers’ compensation
  • 401(k) Administration
  • Assist in design and roll-out of general and health and safety related training programs
  • Obtain bids for facilities services such as landscaping, snow removal, building cleaning, etc.
  • Responsible for the security system and issuing access cards to employees.
  • Keep track of office supply inventory and order when necessary.
  • Train new hires on OA system for employee expense reimbursement.
  • Plan employee events as requested.
  • Assist with Health and Safety administration.
  • Other general business duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a true HR Generalist role
  • 3 years’ experience with multistate payroll (ADP; Paychex, Paycom)
  • Experience in a manufacturing-based or tech industry is preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to engage in collaboration, problem solve and resolve issues
  • Possess knowledge of basic HR laws and applications
  • Extreme attention to detail and willingness to do the day-to-day minutia
  • Ability to learn and grow with an expanding company
  • Bachelors degree in HR; Business or related
  • Solid experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
