Job Description :

The Lake Placid Lodge is looking for an experienced hospitality professional to assist the general manger in overseeing the property operations on a day-to-day basis.

The ideal candidate will work with the team to provide exceptional guest service, continually exceeding the highest possible standards whilst ensuring the smooth running of the lodge’s operations.

General Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and employees
  • Assists with monitoring monthly inventory of supplies and equipment. Ensures that day to day purchases made are within budget and with approved vendors.
  • Inspect the grounds, public areas and guest rooms for appearance and cleanliness
  • Ensure company standards for housekeeping, decor and guest services are met
  • Answer guest questions about hotel services and policies
  • Monitor staff performance, ensuring the hotel is running well and guests are happy
  • Coordinate front-office and back-office activities and resolve any problems

Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset
  • Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience within the hospitality industry
  • Degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major is a plus
