The Desktop Support Analyst position provides hands-on technical support for Windows based PC’s. Includes support for laptop configuration and images, mobile and wireless device management, application software, printers, and client-side Antivirus and Windows Patch management. (NOTE: Previous IT experience REQUIRED providing desktop support, servicing computer hardware & software issues, as well as extensive experience with audio-video troubleshooting for meetings and conferences. Candidates must be able to work in our Madison, WI office full time, Monday through Friday 8am-5pm CST.)

Essential Job Functions-Description:
  • Desktop Support Analyst
    • Maintain OS Software and Antivirus patching levels on all end user computers
    • Creation of technical instructional documentation for publication to the corporate IT knowledge base
    • Administer and operational support of Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems and other mobile infrastructure systems
    • Resolves tier 2 escalations from the IT service desk
    • Participate in process improvement as needed
    • Execute task necessary for computer replacement and data recovery
    • Assist in delivery of various IT related projects
    • Provide desk side and remote technical assistance to end users.
    • Respond promptly to alerts and end user issues in a courteous and knowledgeable manner while adhering to departmental standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Experience
  • 5+ years of technical work experience in support of desktop technologies within a professional environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with remote VPN, networking, PC Setup and repair
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated experience with one or more Operating Systems (Windows 7/Windows 10) in an active directory environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of PC Imaging including build, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Advanced experience working with Azure AD for endpoint management including maintenance of Intune Policies and security groups for endpoint management.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring, managing, monitoring, and remediating network printers
  • Demonstrated experience working with Trend Micro or similar antivirus product.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WINS, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • Demonstrated experience with quickly researching solutions to new and unfamiliar technical problems and providing documentation for the team’s knowledge base
  • Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to strict deadlines
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of current business acumen.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of ITIL Foundations
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting concepts
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of supporting various types of smart phones and tablets
Minimum Education Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, OR equivalent work experience
  • A+, Network+, MCDST certification(s) are a plus
