Position Purpose
The position is a working manager position that is to lead the staff by example. Monitor the network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. The IT Manager assists with installing, configuring, and supporting the company’s local area networks (LAN), WIFI wireless networks, wide area networks (WAN), and internet systems. Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between the network and data communications hardware and software.
Essential Functions
- Manage supervisors and their cast in achieving goals; plan and organize workloads and staff assignments/ schedules to ensure the most effective use of staff. Participate in the interview, audition, and hiring approval process. Train, counsel, motivate, communicate job expectations, and evaluate staff. Conduct annual performance evaluations with staff, review progress, and direct changes as needed. Give recommendations on advancements and disciplinary actions to the CIO. Communicate constructive verbal coaching, and reinforce positive behaviors in a clear, concise, and professional manner. Coordinate with the CIO or the local Human Resources Manager when responding to severe employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, software systems, applications software, and all configurations.
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems and replace defective components when necessary.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and coordinate computer network access and use.
- Monitor and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
- Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made and where changes will need to be made in the future.
- Confer with network users about how to solve existing systems problems.
- Research new technologies and recommend the implementation of new technologies.
- Provide technical support for voice services and equipment, such as voice mail and telephone systems.
- Maintain an inventory of parts for emergency repairs.
- Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
- Gather data pertaining to customer needs and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate systems and network requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and with company personnel to facilitate purchases.
- Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper cables, operating systems, or appropriate software installation.
- Install, configure, control, and manage local area networks (LAN), WIFI wireless networks, and wide area networks (WAN).
- Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
- Enter and manage trouble ticket problems and log remedial actions or installation activities.
- Be available for on-call after-hours duty and on-call weekends as scheduled.
- This position requires travel and on-your-feet routine physical activity.
- This position requires the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- This position requires regular attendance and punctuality in proper attire.
- Pass Annual MVR check.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as a team.
- Ability to hire, plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the work of assigned personnel; ability to provide leadership, train, counsel, motivation, discipline staff; process grievances and constructive performance reviews to staff, secure their commitment to the department and company goals.
- Knowledgeable with installation, configuration and maintaining networking equipment, including firewalls, routers, switches, hubs, WAN and WIFI connectivity devices.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, network security, point of sale ticketing software and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge and ability to serve as database administrator on HTA various systems.
- Ability to analyze and resolve user needs and problems.
- Ability to perform a variety of information technology support tasks.
- Ability to interpret and apply information from technical manuals.
- Ability to communicate on technical issues with individuals with varying degrees of computer familiarity.
- Ability to contribute effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals and objectives.
- Ability to observe discretion in dealing with confidential issues.

Working Environment
The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet to moderately noisy. This job requires working in the field with the general public, vendors and company CAST. The outside work environment is subject to a range of temperatures, humidity, and weather. The work environment in the field may also involve working around traffic and conditions that may be very loud.

- Ability to traverse all areas of the company’s operations, public areas throughout the city.
Qualifications
- 2 years of end user support.
- 2 years of LAN/WAN support.
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS.
- 1-3 years of management experience preferred.
Other Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record for past three years.
