Heidelberg Materials is seeking a IT Project Manager II to join our team in Irving, TX.

As an IT Project Manager II you will report to the Director of the North American IT Project Management Office and will be responsible for successfully managing and overseeing multiple enterprise IT projects simultaneously in a global matrix environment. The senior PM will perform a variety of tasks including planning, facilitation of meetings, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, documenting risks, managing issues and communication with stakeholders up and down the organization.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned project manager with a strong technical background, experienced managing IT projects including agile and other methodologies, and have a proven track record of successfully managing complex initiatives in a matrix environment.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Responsible for successful execution of IT projects requiring significant leadership and the ability to deliver under time constraints.
  • Effectively lead and motivate cross functional project teams through the tasks of developing and executing project objectives while managing conflicting priorities.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication as they relate to project deliverables, scope and the internal project team.
  • Be an active and engaged member of a PMO team committed to continuous improvement.
  • Manage the delivery of projects within agreed scope, standards, budget, time scales, and tolerances, applying systematic and proven project management methodologies.
  • Facilitate and work with project resources to define a detailed and accurate project scope and schedule.
  • Define and manage team expectations regarding roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate across departments to manage day-to-day workflow and work with resource managers to draw attention to prioritization conflicts.
  • Accurately anticipate risks and deviations from the plan early to keep the project on track.
  • Ensure that all risks and issues are captured and managed throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT Project Management.
  • Experience planning, deploying, and delivering agile centric projects in a corporate or large enterprise environment.
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills. Capability to effectively manage resources in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate project teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt work style to environmental changes.
  • Broad understanding of IT and business applications, IT infrastructure technologies and processes that support business systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow project management methodology, plan and to implement projects on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management to assess business requirements, and to plan, manage and deliver stable, reliable and cost-effective technology solutions.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills including influencing and forming relationships with a wide range of partners including senior management.
  • Good understanding of accepted operational and financial business practices.
  • Knowledge of cement, ready-mix, aggregates, and concrete products operations and the corresponding business processes is a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint as a project collaboration tool and dashboard.
  • Experience using Jira/Confluence (preferred), and Microsoft Project and CAPPM Clarity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • PMP®, PMI-ACP and/or CSM Certifications are desirable.
