Position Summary

The Lead Product Owner - Certificate Management role supports Bridgestone’s Identity & Access Management (IAM) services by identifying, authenticating, and authorizing machine identities throughout the full lifecycle, while prohibiting unauthorized access. Reporting to the IAM Director, the Certificate Management Product Owner (PO) works within a distributed team and supports users across Bridgestone Americas in the maintenance and delivery of Public Key Infrastructure and Certificate Management services. The PO has responsibility to support and to continuously improve the certificate management services throughout the business; enabling them to achieve their goals. This role will also be responsible for advanced reporting and data analytics to show status and to help maintain and improve our Identity and Access Management program.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the certificates that secure access for nonhuman identities throughout the full user lifecycle
  • Collaborate with the application, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to ensure that the right machines have the right access to the right resources
  • Responsible for day-to-day operational support of the Certificate Management platform and services; troubleshooting and resolving IAM issues
  • Participate in IAM projects and initiatives; balancing speed with security by implementing certificates from approved authorities early in the development process
  • Work with internal customers and application teams to understand and implement access requirements
  • Maintain documentation for the IAM program
  • Participate in IAM audits and review access control reports to identify potential risks
  • Provide reports on the status of Certification Management within the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (Information Technology, Information Security, Information Systems Management, Information Services), or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.
  • 5+ years of experience providing Identity and Access Management operational support
  • 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Active Directory
  • 2+ years of experience working in a Certificate Management System (CMS)/Key Management System (KMS). Note: Venafi is the current Bridgestone standard
  • Experience with digital identity technologies (SSH, SSL, TLS), certificate and registration authorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Experience operating within Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
  • Experience with ITSM ticketing system (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Relevant industry certifications preferred (Security+, CIAM, CAMS, other)
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and control frameworks (JSOX, NIST, ITIL)
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Solid business acumen; understands how IAM supports business objectives
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working through change
  • Works well on a team; supplemented by the ability to work with minimal supervision
