This San Francisco surgical office position is an ideal opportunity for a Medical Assistant, Medical Biller or Medical Receptionist that wants to learn front office skills to become an office manager.
Previous employees have worked here for 10 years and moved onto their next step - personal billing, marketing and sales efforts including working for Google.
What skills does the applicant need to have to become the best person for this Medical Biller / Medical Receptionist position –
You have worked in the same medical office, surgical office for one or more years. You can politely answer patient calls, schedule medical appointments, have experience with a MacIntosh computer, and experience with billing medical insurance companies. After training, you will work independently and bring your skills/personality to add to this practice. We need a team person that can multitask. You are the face of this surgical practice that has been on ABC TV, CBS TV, KGO TV and HuLu TV. The reconstructive side of this practice is important as HuLu is now displaying the difficulty of a burned individual cared for by this office. Thus, it is important for this San Francisco practice to have an educated person, that can multi-task - handle incoming phone calls, scheduling, medical billing and filing. We do not use EMR.
At least one-year, 12 consecutive month history since 2019 of working in a Surgical Office or Medical Practice Office is important. At this surgical office one block from Union Square, it will be just you and only one surgeon which allows you to be responsible for your performance and salary increase. Having a good sense of humor and willingness to learn will make this a position you can’t leave vs. a “job.”
This multi-facetted medical position offers a unique combination of surgical office duties so that your day is never boring nor the same – from scheduling appointments, scheduling surgery, marketing, insurance billing, protesting insurance payments, accounts payable using Quicken, performing workers compensation forms like PR-2, RFA forms! Send your billing knowledge in your resume.

Unlike other medical offices where you are doing the same job every day and wonder how you will learn more, grow and be rewarded for your efforts, this position has no limits for your growth/learning and income.
You have no other co-workers that you must be responsible for. Your ability to perform the responsibilities of medical receptionist, medical biller and your salary will be dependent on your inttial face-to-face interview and then your performance.
