Part-Time Finance Specialist

Small technology consulting / staffing firm located in the heart of Boulder, looking for a part time finance specialist to oversee finance operations.

Part Time Schedule:

• Approx 15-20 hrs per week.
• Tuesday afternoons essential for weekly payroll of 1099 consultants.

Duties:

• Various weekly bookkeeping, 1099 pay, client invoicing and administrative tasks.
• Administration of weekly payroll of 1099 consultants (approx. 50-70 people).
• Administration of consultant timesheet submission & approval system (Bullhorn).
• Occasional liaison with 1099 consultants regarding timesheet submission.
• Creating invoices inside QuickBooks and emailing to clients.
• Tracking balances due and emailing clients regarding overdue invoices.
• Depositing check payments and reconciling check and ACH payments.
• Entering vendor invoices and paying bills.
• Assist with internal audits.
• Month end bank reconciliation.
• Organization and preparation assistance for accounting projects.
• Reports directly to the CEO.

Requirements:

• Work experience in an accounting / finance type role.
• Minimum two years of QuickBooks and Excel experience.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work to 1099 payroll deadline and prioritize accordingly.
• Positive attitude, energy and a sense of humor.

Pay & Terms

• Ongoing temporary / hourly rate position, possibility to convert to a full-time employee.
• Approximately $25-30/hr.
• Free parking spot.
• Flexible (ish) hours.
• Must be able to work onsite in Boulder, CO and pass a background check.
