Overview

The Payroll Specialist will work remote. The candidate will be responsible for payroll administration and cooperate with different departments to increase payroll service performance and improve upon the payroll system.

Acts as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to payroll issues. S/he will maintain an excellent rapport and effectively promote harmonious interpersonal relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Utilize the ISAS system to calculate hours worked and claims processed.

- Enter Missing Time Requests in the ISAS system.

- Determine the right payroll amount by calculating bonuses, emergency hours etc.

- Accurately keys all payroll-related data necessary to process payroll.

- Prepare and submit weekly and bi-weekly payroll for 200+ Employees.

- Process timely Bi-weekly payroll for all TA personnel.

- Audit source documents to ensure receipt of appropriate approvals.

- Upload and verify CSV import files on HRIS before running payroll.

- Ensure deadlines are met and payrolls and reports are produced accurately.

- Stay current with payroll processing procedures and workflow.

- Maintain employee confidentiality and protect payroll operations by keeping all private information confidential.

- Assist with the development and implementation of HR reports for effortless analysis of any payroll related matters.

3.0 Qualifications/Skills

- Master’s in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPP/FPC Payroll certification a plus.

- Ten (10) years specializing in payroll.

- Recent experience with Paychex payroll system.

- Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required.

- Proficient in Windows PC environment with accurate data entry/keyboarding skills.

- Proficient Typing Skills – 55 wpm minimum.

- Able to work under strict deadlines.

- Detail Oriented with ability to focus on and comprehend numerical and financial data.

- LTTSS/ISAS system experience a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
