Plumbing / Fire Protection Specialty Designer Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of fire protection plumbing design. NFPA knowledge is a plus. Revit; familiarity with K-12, commercial, public-sector work, mid-to-high rise, EOC design.
- Rainwater harvesting and solar thermal design is a plus.
- Transform initial rough project designs and concepts into working documents utilizing REVIT.
- Work closely with the technical team members in producing final drawings and completing design tasks.
- Prepare the full set of discipline drawings from the legend sheet to details and specifications.
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the design and construction process.
- Ideal candidates 5+ years of experience in drafting and designing plumbing and fire protection systems in an A/E environment.
- An AA/AS degree and /or technical certification in mechanical designs are preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and general engineering practices.
- Minimum 3 years of Revit.
- Candidates must have solid planning, organizational, teamwork and communication skills.
