OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE

The Heavy Civil Project Manager position is responsible for overall management of existing projects. The project manager will be responsible for owner relations, scheduling, and cost controls. This position will work daily with superintendents, administration, and field personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage Quantities, Costs, Schedules, and Revenue that meet site conditions and requirements of the project plans and specifications.

· Support estimating team as needed.

· Develop and maintain business relationships with private customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

· Estimate, prepare and manage change orders.

· Create a construction schedule and an organization and responsibilities matrix at the start of each project. Review with all project participants to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.

· Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost control.

· Manage all parts of the Job Set up which include submittals, permits, and subcontracts.

· Maintain timely awareness of project cost and planning performance against budget and schedule; analyze potential changes; recommend corrective actions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· A minimum of 2 years of construction experience is required with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Construction Management Preferred or a combination of equivalent experience and education.

· The Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications.

· Ability to work in a structured and detailed way.

· Functions effectively as part of a team.

· Time management and organizational skills.

· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

· This is a drug testing position which requires a pre-employment drug test as a condition of employment.
