As a Geotechnical Project Manager at RK&K you will have the opportunity to work across disciplines to prepare plans and reports related to a variety of projects for various clients in the transportation and municipal sectors; you will supervise field investigations and develop and review design computations; and prepare geotechnical recommendations, contract plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates

Basic Responsibilities:
Develop geotechnical proposals, including subsurface exploration programs,
Manage subsurface exploration programs
Manage the preparation of bridge, roadway and retaining wall inventory reports and foundation recommendations,
Serve at the geotechnical lead for Design Builds
Prepare retaining wall plans,
Prepare foundations recommendations for other structures,
Innovative design concepts related to Geotechnical Engineering

Required Education, Skills and Experience:
15+ years of Geotechnical Transportation Experience, NCDOT and/or SCDOT experience
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Passion for client service and engineering
Experience in management of Geotechnical Task Assignments on multidiscipline projects
Working knowledge of the following software: gINT, LPile, APile, MSEW, FB-Pier, and GRLWEAP
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of Microstation
Professional Engineer License in North Carolina
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience: MS or advanced degree in Civil Engineering preferred
