Job Description

The Resources and Compliance Administrator provides day-to-day administrative and field support to the Director, Land and Water Resources for production project support in assigned region(s) to include related compliance reporting for land and water. Additionally, this role will support in the management of the subleases and land availability. The role will focus on maximizing our land and water resources with a high focus on efficient use with a proactive approach to water and land sustainability.

Leases, Subleases and Land Compliance

  • Create and manage leases and subleases for the districts.
  • Work with legal department to ensure proper lease and sublease language
  • Research and maintain records of grounds available and creates spreadsheets and maps to record availability by working with staff accountants
  • Provide information to federal, state and counties required and requested
  • Assist partners with maintaining records and contracts to ensure land compliance and proper accounting reporting.
  • Maintain and manage accounts receivable and payable accounts related to subleases and utilities with tenants and landlords to ensure balanced accounts.
  • Work with USDA, county and agriculture commissioners and responds to any inquiries or questions
  • Coordinate meetings with landlords and management

Regional Water Compliance

  • Complete and manage timely compliance with all federal, state and regional water management regulatory agencies as needed per district 20 Compensation Global JD.
  • Manage water extraction water efficiency reports for the district by ranch and crop. Report back in timely manner.
  • Maintain and manage county water accounts.
  • Meet with local and government regulators to ensure to date knowledge on compliance and promote advocacy in support to our operations.
  • Prepare responses to Government Commissioner and County questionnaires and inquiries as needed.

Water Reporting

  • Maintain water master database for all designated ranches.
  • Maintain individual ranch master folder to include ranch maps for water/electricity meter location(s), service address, account information and vendor accounts.
  • Upload information into RKX or other internal centralized collection site.
  • Create and communicate monthly water usage report(s).
  • Maintain master ranch water rates

Administrative Support

  • Provide translation of documents when requested.
  • Participate in planning sessions for the district on open ground, capital water purchases, trainings, and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate berry requests for annual landlord and preferred vendor berry box.

Accounts Receivable

  • Manage the coding of utility invoices
  • Prepare and mail invoice statements
  • Confirm and provide breakdown, backup, water logs to ensure accurate billing
  • Maintain utility A/R aging under 45 days
  • Make collection calls as needed

Water Projects

  • Manage and maintain the well maintenance program.
  • Manage and maintain water usage program including vendor relation
  • Manage and transact when see needed in the water market.
  • Manage and lead major water infrastructure projects keeping related parties updated
  • Create and lead working groups to address water related challenges as they arise

Knowledge (Include level of expertise)

  • Knowledge of government regulations, professional “best practices,” and industry trends as they apply to farming, land, water, and compliance related functions and responsibilities * Knowledge of farming industry and issues

Skills

  • Fluency in both written/verbal English and Spanish required
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft business applications software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills for researching, analyzing, developing, and leading in the implementation of production-related programs and recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in dealing proactively with all levels of internal and external management, vendor, or agency personnel
  • Ability to maintain high degree of sensitivity and change management abilities to intercultural personnel and corporate dynamics
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to apply policies and guidelines where decisions are periodically monitored and the consequences of decisions may affect operating results and management decisions to a minor degree

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Years of experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in administration, specifically with knowledge of farming, wáter, leases, and land management

Licenses: Valid State Driver’s license and ability to be insured under the company insurance

NECESSARY SOFTWARE: Microsoft Office Suite - Proficient

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to travel 50 percent of the time – domestically to RAC offices, ranches, meetings and events

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,178.00 - $72,812.00 per year
