REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Provides leadership, direction and guidance to the inpatient nursing unit at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Actively supports the mission, vision and values of ProMedica Health System.
Reports to the Unit Clinical Manager, Nursing Services.
POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinates high quality patient care on assigned unit/service. Provides staff support through facilitation, coaching, and role-modeling leadership behaviors; which enhance quality patient care, safety for staff/patients, excellent customer service, and fosters employee development.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required or must be obtained within 3 year time frame. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Skills: Problem-solving, organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to functinnn independently and also as an integral member of various teams. Must display a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Years of Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years in nursing in a patient care area
License: Must be an RN with a current licensure in the State of Ohio
Certification: BLS, ACLS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s degree preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Personal Protective Equipment:
Demonstrates knowledge and use of standard precautions and PPE.
Demonstrates knowledge and use of safe patient handling equipment.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, temperature changes, and exposure to blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids.
Must be able to attain all health requirements as identified by the organization (i.e., PPD, respirator training, vaccines, as appropriate).
Must be able to move about hospital and between workstations; and prolonged periods of standing.
Must be able to frequently move, lift or carry light to heavy patients or equipment.
Must be able to lift medium materials, non-material handling; continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching; frequent pushing, pulling and squatting.
Occasional sitting, stairs and kneeling.
