Ridge Engineering, Inc. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to assist Accounting Manager with all aspects of the organization's accounting functions. The successful candidate will be detail oriented and open to challenges that may extend beyond accounting and into operational functions. This person will also take on each task with a high degree of professional integrity. In this position, the Senior Accountant will likely:

· Support Accounting Manager with month end close, including preparation of journal entries, fixed asset management, reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts and variance analysis of the financial statements, and creation of supporting month end documentation.

· Contribute in developing inventory system including but not limited to inventory valuation, including tracking/valuing all materials, work in progress (“WIP”), and finished goods at month-end. Oversee cycle count program and annual physical inventory count. Assist with annual overhead rate calculations.

· Support Accounting Manager with schedules required by the parent company for internal and external (SEC) reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return.

· Work with external auditors and respond to various financial audit related requests.

· Provide other financial, administrative, and operational support as needed.

· Other related ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary.

Requirements/Experience:

* Bachelor’s in Accounting.

* Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience (industrial manufacturing and / or repair related companies). Must have a strong cost-accounting background.

* Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (“FAR”) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (“DCAA”) requirements a plus.

* Must be confident in their ability to implement efficient financial reporting as well as internal control processes and procedures.

* Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly express an opinion or interpretation of various analysis, schedules or statement and results.

* Strong work ethic (willingness to work long hours, when needed).

* Strong Excel skills as well as a general working knowledge of ERP reporting packages are a plus. Direct experience with Global Shop Solutions and Quickbooks is also plus.

* Highly responsive to customer requirements, with a high attention for detail and accuracy.

* Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.

* Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.
