Job Description :

Eaton’s B-Line Division is currently seeking a Shipping Associate & Packer to join our 1st shift team. This position is based at our Reno, NV facility. This is a full time, direct hire position. Compensation for this role begins at $19.65 / hour.


Shift Hours: 8:30AM-5PM


In this function you will:

  • Pick, pull & pack orders
  • Verify for correct parts, quantities, finish.
  • Stock checking.
  • Replenish inventory as needed.
  • Load trucks
  • Use UPS/FED-EX system as required to perform and complete duties.
  • Accurately and efficiently use RF scanners.
  • Wood cutting as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Keep work areas clean and safe.
  • Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
    • Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
    • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
    • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
  • Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 months of previous packing experience
  • 6 months of previous forklift experience
  • 6 months of SAP system experience

Position Criteria:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English.
  • Forklift certified
  • Crane certified
  • Organized
  • Individual accountability
  • Works well with a team
  • Ability to use SAP system
  • Ability to utilize a staple gun, bander, nail gun, carton closer.
  • Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
  • Fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
  • Must be able to work overtime with short notice.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
  • Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance.
  • Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
  • Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
  • Exposure to cold and heat according to weather conditions when shipping doors are open.
