Fidelity TalentSource is looking for a Software Engineer with DevOps experience to join the Fidelity Software Engineering (Home) business unit. This team is based in Durham, NC or Westlake, TX!

The Role

This is a Software Engineer DevOps role within the Fidelity Enterprise Software Engineering domain supporting Enterprise Cybersecurity group. We are looking for a candidate who has passion to drive excellence for systems availability and performance. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of AWS Infrastructure, Automation, and strong foundational skills in python to manage on-prem & cloud-based applications. This role offers significant exposure to cutting-edge software engineering tools & techniques, exposure to enterprise network & systems (both on-prem & cloud), opportunities to develop deep expertise in the cybersecurity engineering domain

The Team

Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS) sets Fidelity’s strategy, policy, and standards for the security of the enterprise cyberspace. This role is within the Vendor Security Squad that has Cybersecurity Engineers, Analysts and Software Developers who focus on developing, implementing, and supporting solutions that do threat reduction, vulnerability elimination, deterrence, international engagement, incident response, resiliency, and recovery policies and activities. The team’s mission is to reduce 3rd party vendor risk to protect Fidelity’s technology landscape.

The Expertise You Have

• 4+ years of experience in Software/Systems Engineering with 1+ years of proven experience in Python programming
• Strong foundational knowledge with RESTful APIs consuming and demonstrating native APIs from 3rd party vendors, integrate applications with multiple data sources is required
• Hands on experience in AWS and experience with build & deployment pipeline using leading technologies/tools is highly preferred
• Cross-platform experience in Linux & Windows along with scripting is helpful
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to research and find answers to technical challenges and learn new techniques is required The Skills You Bring
• Automation approach, ability to continuously look for automation opportunities in the existing systems
• Strong foundational understanding of OSI layer, TCP/IP networks (protocols, ports), DNS etc.
• Experience with engineering / integrating logging & monitoring solutions
• Strong foundational understanding of cloud solutions and cloud networking (AWS)
• Ability to quickly script test cases is desired
• Experience with engineering documentation based on security-based practices is highly desired
• Experience with Agile methodology is desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills is required
