Aptica is looking for a dynamic System Administrator and IT Project Engineer to join our team of IT Professionals. Projects include implementing Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, Nextiva VoIP, 3CX VoIP Telephony, Unifi, Cisco, Meraki, and WatchGuard Network Security Products.

• Function as a 3rd level escalation point for technology issues

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR AND PROJECT ENGINEER

IT Project Engineers work under the direction of a Project Manager to implement technology for our clients. According to our project methodology, you'll be responsible for staging, building, and installing services, systems, and networks.

Additionally, we have a strong focus on excellent customer service. You'll be required to provide excellent communication internally and externally as part of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR AND PROJECT ENGINEER

Core Competencies and Requirements

• Microsoft Windows Server 2012 through 2019
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Deployment Services
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and related services
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS services
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems, specifically Windows 10
• Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vCenter
• Experience with LAN and WAN technology and firewalls
• Valid driver’s license and insurance with reliable transportation. This position will require travel within Aptica’s 2-hour service radius.
• Participation in an 8am-5pm weekends/holiday on-call rotation, approximately once a month

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree, business-related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• 1+ years supporting current Windows Server technologies
• Experience working for a Managed Service Provider
• Microsoft, VMware, and Cisco certifications preferred
