We are hiring a Systems Engineer with 5+ years of experience working with complex operational requirements to join our growing Systems Engineering, Integration & Test and Flight Operations (SEITO) Division. A Systems Engineer in this role is knowledgeable in systems engineering processes and practices with familiarity with software engineering, spacecraft hardware and/or operations (preferred), and has familiarity with systems integration processes.
This is a phenomenal opportunity to interact with engineering and science groups working on the operations of the James Webb (JWST), Hubble (HST) and Nancy Grace Roman Space (Roman) Space Telescopes.
Responsibilities include:
Our systems engineers support all phases of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and perform in a variety of roles to support system design, product realization and technical management using the NASA Systems Engineering Handbook as a guide. We look at all facets of a System (or System of Systems) to include people, process, and product.
The work performed by systems engineers contributes meaningfully in strengthening our engineering processes while supporting multi-mission operational systems to HST, JWST and/or Roman. They work with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to provide systems engineering support with a focus on Flight Operations Subsystem support (including but not limited to requirements management, flight software maintenance facilities interface control documentation) and input to our Science Operations.
Qualifications:
We are looking for Systems Engineers with 5+ years of experience with the following experience and/or abilities:
Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering, or another technically related field.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence in order to meet ITAR requirements
