The Fermentorium Vinyl Lounge is located in the East Tosa neighborhood of Wauwatosa. The Fermentorium Craft Beer & Vinyl Lounge is the second location for The Fermentorium Beverage Co. The tasting room, restaurant and record shop has twenty-four tap lines as well as a food menu offering pizza and appetizers. Music lovers can shop for new and used vinyl records.

Introduction:

We are seeking to add an entrepreneurial, outgoing and enthusiastic General Manager for our East Tosa Vinyl Lounge.

Position Summary:

The General Manager is an integral part of our management team with frontline command of the products, food menu, events, and staffing for the bar. Success in this position will be founded in the attention to the customer experience when visiting this location. The General Manager will promote a fun, clean and healthy workplace while meeting sales and profitability expectations. The ideal candidate loves craft beer (brewing experience is a bonus but not required), loves a variety of music (vinyl record collection is a bonus), has some kitchen experience, is extremely organized and detail oriented, and is responsible as well as hard working. The hours for this position are flexible but would primarily require availability during prime hours, including nights and weekends.

Compensation is based on base salary and quarterly profitability bonuses. Tipped bartending shifts are also available.

Key Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Supporting our values and expectations of quality.
• Hiring, training and managing bar and kitchen staff.
• Overseeing cost control and profitability of the location: report weekly to the owner.
• Maintaining a clean, friendly and welcoming environment for all guests at all times.
• Ordering beer, food, records, merchandise, and supplies.
• Coordinate, promote and execute all live music and special events hosted in the location.
• Maintaining and developing the food & drink menus, specials, and promotions.
• Create and execute monthly pizza specials.
• Generate content for social media.
• Be knowledgeable on all Fermentorium beers.
• Maintaining a schedule for tap line cleaning.
• Bartending when necessary.
• Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Engaging customers, making sales and answering questions.
• Ability to move kegs and operate a hand truck.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

• Previous restaurant, brewery, or craft beer experience preferred.
• Hospitality experience is required.
• Bartending experience preferred.
• Servsafe Manager Certification.
• Retail experience desired - both back and front of the house experience
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to project manage.
• Advanced computer literacy - Microsoft Office, Toast or other POS systems.
• Event coordination experience.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50lbs.
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
