ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Report to IT Services Supervisor, be able to take direction from IT Systems Manager, and work with other district Support Specialists
Resolve technical issues for end users. This position is the primary day to day fix it person for district technology items
Document and communicate status of requests and work completed in the district technology support ticket system
Install and configure new technology according to district standards
Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel between district buildings as needed
Must have ability to lift and maneuver computer equipment as necessary with assistance and use ladders per safety guidelines
Must have physical ability to stoop, bend, kneel, or crawl to plug in and trouble shoot equipment under tables or desks; physical ability to move or reposition equipment
Willingness to take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and board policies
Must be punctual and have regular and consistent attendance
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to resolve technical issues with various equipment. This includes printers, video projectors, document cameras, interactive white boards, and other technology items.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially Office 365), and Google GSuite required
Ability to independently manage multiple projects and see them through to completion, utilizing a personal system of organization, as well as work calendar, to generate follow-up reminders
Must be able to uphold board policies, IT policies and standards, as well as follow administrative procedures
Must have excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to successfully interact and communicate professionally with a wide variety of people in a classroom or office setting
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member and analyze situations to define issues, draw conclusions, and determine resolutions and/or action plans
Demonstrated ability to research and apply technical information to resolve complex technology issues
Must possess respect, awareness and appreciation of diversity among individuals
Must possess ability to handle confidential matters appropriately and ethically
Must possess ability to multi-task with constant interruptions, be self-motivated toward assigned tasks, work independently with limited supervision, work well under pressure, and consistently meet required deadlines
Must possess ability to be accurate, detail oriented, organized, dependable, tactful and responsible
Must possess ability to accept direction and constructive criticism
Willingness to successfully upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions
Neat, clean personal appearance and traits that make him/her a good role model for students; work apparel should be appropriate for a safe and professional work environment
OTHER FUNCTIONS: Other job related duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
High school diploma and/or equivalent; prior job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility. AA and/or industry certifications preferred
