Working out of a single 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Findlay, OH, we began our operations in June of 1988 as Findlay’s Tall Timbers Distribution Center. Position Summary:
The Logistics Customer Service Specialist communicates daily with customers to ensure all finished goods shipments are completed to meet third party customer specifications. Communicate with trucking companies to plan accordingly for shipments. Remove inventory from company and customer database in accordance with depletion procedures.

Reports To:* Lead Logistics Customer Service Specialist*

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with co-workers and direct Supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities
  • Manage communication processes; answering multi-line phone system and ensuring timely response of customer emails
  • Maintain a clean, work environment placing all items in an orderly manner
  • Operate within the documented QMS (Quality Management System)
  • Coordinate finished goods shipment to meet customer standards
  • Enter order information directly into the system accurately and on a timely basis
  • Notify/Communicate with customers with any issues with shipment or scheduling
  • Follow all standard operating and rules of thumb procedures for shipments and depletions of customer inventory
  • Consulting with clients about their shipping needs and making recommendations about how best to meet those needs
  • Provide assistance and follow up on any Advance Shipping Notification (ASN)
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to create customer orders and fulfill customer requests
  • Prepare a Bill of Lading for all shipping customers for the type, quantity, and destination of products transported out of the warehouse
  • Utilize customer portals to provide comprehensive data on their shipping and operational information
  • Create customer orders for the warehouse team
  • Work with carriers to schedule appointments, communicate load status, etc.

Knowledge/ Skill Requirements:

  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
  • Possess above average communication skills
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Be a self-starter, ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Must have aptitude to use and operate a computer including basic email functions and Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

The working conditions of this position reflect those of a standard warehouse environment to include:

  • Working in close proximity to others
  • Working near heavy machinery and products
  • Moderate to high noise levels
  • Working indoors
  • May be subject to hot and cold temperatures inside the warehouse depending upon outside weather conditions

Hours/Compensation

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PM
  • Compensation: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour. Pay is based on level of experience
