Job Title: Accountant Location: Corporate

Department: Finance FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Controller

Position Summary:

The accountant will prepare financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monthly reconciliation of cash accounts
• Prepares and posts journal entries as assigned
• Updates and reconciles all assigned workpapers monthly
• Reviews assigned financial statements monthly for reasonableness and completeness
• Prepare assigned monthly financial statements

• Assists with cost report preparation.
• Assists with the annual budget process
• Support annual audit by gathering necessary account information and documents
• Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies as assigned
• Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.
  

Required Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.

• Three to five years of accounting experience required
  

Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and accounting.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Highly proficient with accounting software.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
