Accountant (Public Accounting)

$34.00 per hour plus company-sponsored benefits

As Accountant, your job duties and responsibilities will include:

• Joining a small, family-owned CPA firm
• Becoming part of the Accounting Team
• Supporting small to mid-sized companies
• Additionally, preparing income tax returns for individuals
• Reconciling bank statements
• Producing financial statements
• Maintaining general ledgers
• Assisting with year-end close processes
• Administering payroll tax and sales tax reporting processes
• Making payroll tax deposits
• Providing guidance to your clients
• Answering questions and addressing inquiries
• Seeking out cost savings and efficiencies wherever possible
• Handling special projects
• Performing other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate profile will possess the following:

• At least 1 year of Accounting experience
• Accounting experience from a Public Accounting environment

With:

• Tax Preparation experience
• Experience preparing income tax returns for individuals and small to mid-size companies
• Experience preparing payroll tax reporting and deposits
• Experience with sales tax reporting
• Experience with both Federal and multi-state returns

Pluses:

• +++ Any degrees in Accounting or Finance
• +++ Current CPA designation
