In the Accounting Associate position, you will provide full-cycle accounting support to multiple entities. This will include maintaining cash balances, managing accounts receivable and payable, and other bookkeeping services. As an Accounting Associate, you will be required to maintain the highest standards of organization, confidentiality, and timeliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping

  • Manage the accounts payable process by coding invoices, submitting for proper approval, and processing for payment.
  • Manage and maintain timely and accurate cash account records at all times. Includes posting of cash receipts, monthly bank reconciliations, and forecasting future cash needs as necessary to ensure entities are adequately funded to meet obligations.
  • Prepare internal invoices and manage collections.
  • Process and review all transactions for assigned accounts daily.
  • Gather annual tax return information for each client.
  • Be familiar with and be responsible for adherence to all compliance policies and procedures.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed.

Client Service

  • Proactive, regular communication with clients
  • Anticipate future client needs to ensure quality client service
  • Develop a knowledge of the client’s entire financial and family situation
  • Establish a level of trust and confidence with the client so that any issue can be addressed, and solutions offered

Education, Training and/or Experience:

  • 1 year of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; Yardi experience preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client-centered focus: Takes pride in their position and consistently delivers outstanding service and high-quality work.
  • Has self-confidence, personal integrity, credibility and exudes enthusiastic, positive energy.
  • Maintains the utmost discretion and professionalism in working with sensitive and confidential information.
