We'd like to add a highly qualified accounting clerk to support the daily operations of the finance team. The ideal candidate has a natural passion for math and an eagerness to learn more about financial planning, and budgeting. Under the direction of the financial manager, the accounting clerk will update and maintain records, reconcile bank statements, and manage the accounting databases. This person will join like-minded experts who are continually focused on sharpening their skills and advancing in their profession.

Objectives of this Role:

• Prepares financial reconciliations.
• Posts journal entries to general ledger.
• Generates summary sheets for use by supervisor or auditor.
• Accounts Payable & Account Receivable.
• Execute accurate reporting and filing
• Make check deposits
• Assist with year-end audit requests.
• Participate in month-end close activities, to include preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts
• Assist with payroll
• Match vendor invoices to POs.
• Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures.
• Monthly Inventory Audits.
• Head of cycle counts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures and the ability to translate those into a robust ERP system.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and accounting principles.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required with some bookkeeping coursework; Associates degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
• At least one to two year of increasingly responsible experience in Accounting; related business school or college courses may be substituted for up to one year of experience.
