Job Summary: The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department.

Pay: $80k-95k Depending on Experience

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Manages the accounting staff
• Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
• Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting functions.
• Oversees preparation of business financial reports and revenue reporting filings.
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
• Oversees due dates and deadlines for accounting filings and reporting.
• Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Presents recommendations to clients on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Courts potential clients for accounting services.
• Onboards new accounting clients.
• Collaborates with Payroll and Tax departments to gather and share appropriate data.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• Eight years or more of related Accounting experience required.
• Three years or more of Accounting Management experience required.
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
