Controller Job Responsibilities:

• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Make daily deposits and reconcile credit card payments
• Verify all Point-of-Sale transactions
• Verify and cash in cash draws and in safe
• Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
• Ensures operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

Controller Qualifications / Skills:

• Managing processes
• QuickBooks
• DockMaster
• Auditing, accounting, and corporate finance
• Tracking budget expenses
• Financial skills
• Analyzing information
• Performance management

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in accounting/finance
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Experience with financial reporting requirements
• Experience with monthly, quarterly and year end close
• Accounting leadership in Marina and/or Commercial Property industries preferred although not required
