Greenbelt Homes, Inc. (GHI) , is a not-for-profit housing cooperative of 1,600 homes in the "Old Greenbelt" neighborhood of Greenbelt, Maryland. GHI is one of the oldest and largest housing cooperatives in the United States.
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team.
The Accounting Manager serves as senior advisor to Director of Finance, and assists with daily operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll; administers the fiscal computer system including interface with vendors and maintenance contractors.
Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:
· Generates monthly financial statements
· Provides financial schedules, journal entries and bank reconciliations
· Prepares delinquency list and collection letters
· Prepares court filings
· Oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and collection process, and payroll.
· Reviews account codes used and posting to general ledger. Oversees fixed assets.
· Supervises real estate tax invoicing and reconciliation.
· Prepares accounts receivable reconciliation and corresponding corrections.
· Observes yearly inventory.
· Assists in preparation of annual budget.
· Prepares IRS forms 1098 upon magnetic media. Reviews preparation of W2s, 1099s, and other year-end interest schedules. Prepares other year-end interest schedules.
· Other duties as assigned
