This innovative company is looking for an Accounting Specialist with experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.

Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:

· Record routine or recurring transactions

· Enters all vendor invoices into the dealer business system.

· Enter new vendors into dealer business system.

· Obtains approval and distributes invoices as needed prior to processing payments.

· Process accounts payable activities which include processing parts, complete goods, and all other invoices and maintaining vendor records.

· Verifies invoices for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, ensures payment terms are followed, and calculates discounts as appropriate.

· Prepares and processes checks or online payments in a timely manner. Process sales tax payments to various states.

· Reconciles vendor statements.

· Upload or scan documents into document system, route to appropriate approvers.

· Ensure payments to vendors are accurate and timely.

· Assists other co-workers with tasks, as necessary.

· Build positive relationships with all internal and external customers.

· May oversee collection efforts and processes for delinquent accounts.

· Reconcile customer statements by processing customer returns (RMA Credits) and manual invoices.

· Work with Sales Teams to manage customer accounts and liaise payment status to senior personnel in all Business Units.

· Conduct new customer credit inquiries or reviews by checking credit / bank references.

· May be responsible for bi-weekly AR and month-end financial reporting for all business units.

· Month-end processes include closing and finalizing AR and the reconciliation of the sub-ledger, exchange rate adjustments, and accruals.

Requirements:

· Some experience with using business system applications preferred.

· Knowledge of agriculture equipment industry preferred.

· Understands accounting fundamentals.

· Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel and internet functions.

· Ability to use the dealer’s business system and other programs specific to the position.

· High level of attention to detail and accuracy

· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.

· Associates degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline preferred.

Soft Skills

· Ability to collaborate and interact with staff outside the department

· A positive attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Willingness to embrace the speed and diversity of a medium sized company

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

· Some experience with accounting software, specifically Excel

· Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask efficiently

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Experience in retail environment a plus

Physical Requirements:

The work may be done in a sitting position with no excessive lifting, pulling, or pushing, and limited twisting, bending, and stooping. While performing the duties of this job, there is required use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms.
