  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Five or more years of General Accounting experience, with minimum two years in a supervisory role
  • Experience in the preparation of management reports and financial statements, preferably in a non-profit organization
  • Strong communication and leadership skills and the ability to interact with various levels of personnel
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to details and good organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP (NetSuite and/or Concur a plus)
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable function is required
  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis

Primary Responsibilities:

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for daily operations of the Finance team including accounts payable, employee expense reports, cash receipts, subsidiary accounting, account reconciliations and other tasks. The Accounting supervisor will supervise, train and mentor three members of the accounting team.

Job Duties:

  • ·ssist with month-end close including reviewing and approving account reconciliations for bank, investment, credit card, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, client rents and other similar accounts.
  • Lead the Finance team as the expert in Concur software for employee credit cards, expense reimbursements and accounts payable invoices.
  • Review transactions for fixed assets including additions and dispositions and depreciation expense.
  • Participate in monthly financial statement reporting and analysis.
  • Process financial reporting from intercompany activities.
  • Support annual financial audit and grant compliance audit conducted by external CPA firm.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by management.
  • Drive and implement process improvements.
  • Train and develop staff members.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
