AIY Properties is a dynamic private owner and manager of residential apartment communities throughout Northeast Ohio. AIY has grown tremendously in recent years and said growth offers stability and the opportunity to grow and contribute to the continuing success of the organization.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist at our corporate office located in Independence, Ohio.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Review invoices for accuracy and proper coding
  • Resolve any vendor or site questions
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the AP General Ledger, by identifying discrepancies on vendor invoices and resolving any issues
  • Back up to A/R and A/P Departments
  • Month-end procedures

Accounts Payable Specialist Education and Experience:

  • Comfortable working in csv files used to upload to accounting software
  • Knowledge of office administration and procedures
  • Good understanding of general bookkeeping procedures
  • Familiar with general accounting principals
  • Proficient in relevant accounting software (Yardi is a plus)
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel
  • 1-3 years accounts payable and general accounting experience helpful
