Accounts Receivable Specialist

American Lighting, an innovative and rapidly growing LED Lighting company that imports and distributes lighting products to companies throughout North America is in need of an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This person will be responsible for full cycle accounts receivable processes including billing, B2B collections, customer disputes, cash applications and credit management. The candidate must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task.

Accounts Receivable Specialist Duties:

- Responsible for the review and timely invoice processing of all accounts.

- Research and communication both internally and externally to process documents in the appropriate accounting period.

- Review and analysis of Accounts Receivable aging and maintain contact with customers to receive payments in a timely manner.

- Accurately posting customer payments and timely problem resolution of accounts which includes deductions on payments for discounts, allowances or a variety of other promotions.

- Pulling credit reports and analyzing credit worthiness

- Data entry for creating new customer accounts and managing accuracy of customer accounts and contacts.

- Prepares bank deposits.

- Maintain national accounts, adhere to each customer’s invoicing requirements, use customer portals for invoicing, disputes and payment remittances.

- Examine documents received from our China office and distribution center to prepare orders for invoicing.

- Maintain multiple spreadsheets to track and share information with cross-functioning teams and the management.

- Other Accounts Receivable tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

- Assoc. Degree or above preferred, 2 years accounting classes preferred, but not necessary

- 2 years Accounts Receivable experience preferred, but not necessary

- Accurate data entry skills

- Proficient in Excel, Power Point a plus

- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills

- Detail oriented and process oriented

- Team player with excellent multi-tasking skills and a positive attitude toward the position to complete an assortment of duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
