The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) organization is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to join the team in Everett, WA . This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) team and help shape the future of the organization. The position will be dedicated to development and certification of airborne electronic products, whether developed internally or procured through suppliers, for a wide range of Boeing Commercial Airplane programs. The individual will have responsibility for functional skill leadership of AEH engineers and Engineering Unit Members, project management and Safety & Airworthiness aspects for electronic products.

The ideal candidate will have a background in development of electronics products with Programmable Logic Devices, Field Programmable Gate Arrays, Application Specific Integrated Circuits and microprocessors, as well as strong leadership skills.

Position Responsibilities:
Leading AEH engineers and Engineering Unit Members performing AEH compliance activities
Developing and maintaining relationships with customers (internal/external), equipment developers (internal/external), peers, and industry and regulatory authorities
Cultivating a culture of seeking to understand, courage to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage, develop and motivate employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field, ABET accredited
5+ years of experience working in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry
Experience in team building, coaching, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team members, and inspiring work groups through daily interactions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
Experience with digital circuit design, Airborne Electronic Hardware Devices (PLDs, FPGAs, ASICs), Microprocessor based designs or similar electronic hardware development
Experience with systems engineering and integration of complex hardware and software
Experience with FAA certification of airborne electronics

Summary pay range: $173,000 – $191,000
