MYMIC is seeking a Software Architect, who will lead the design, development, engineering, integration, and architecture of systems and applications in support of a large Agile Development Team supporting an Enterprise Level Application.

Job Description:

Responsible for Software Architect duties across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including software architecture, requirements analysis and decomposition, software development, middleware design, coding and testing for modular implementation of interfaces, integration, and testing and evaluation. Delivers solution that meets requirements in Capability Requirements Document (CRD) and System Requirements Specification (SRS). Performs software systems engineering to ensure internal and external system and software interfaces are properly designed and documented. Provides software intensive development documents to create and test system interfaces. Determines Cloud/network hosting requirements and provides recommendations for the hosting solution.

Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice on moderately complex problems that require an appropriate level of knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Apply principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, advanced mathematical principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions.

Job Duties:

o Leads planning and conversions of new software applications.

o Utilizes and maintains software coding standards.

o Provides recommendations for software application optimization.

o Identifies strategic solutions and integrates solutions in support of IT projects.

o Formulates and defines application requirements documentation.

o Translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.

o Evaluates new IT products and/or services and recommend changes to existing products or services to better aide the end-user community.

o Develops and applies advanced engineering and design methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system requirements, hardware/software interfaces and applications, and solutions.

o Engineers business logic and process flows, working on the design and development of business logic, process models/flows and UI screens to implement in a BPM (Business Process Management)-based system.

o Work closely with Business Analysts to investigate customers’ requirements, prototype business solutions, and validate user story acceptance criteria.

o Coordinate closely with team members to ensure proper fixes, unit testing, and configuration management.

o Develop Structured Query Language (SQL), update data models and implement common database best practices (indexes, triggers, and data structure).

o Coordinate with DevOps team members to ensure timely and reliable releases to customer.

o Ensure software maintains data integrity, security, and best practice standards.

o Support the development and maintenance of SDLC application documentation.

Qualifications:

o 10 years of technical experience with implementation of Enterprise Business Systems including software architecture, requirements analysis and decomposition, software development, integration, and testing and evaluation.

o 5 years in Software Architect role leading the design, development, engineering, integration, and architecture of systems and applications.

o 2 years experience in BPM (Appian, JBoss BPMS, Activity, Oracle or IBM BPM, Pega, etc.).

o Understanding and hands-on experience with Agile software development methodologies.

o Experience with Agile tracking software

o Highly adaptable to rapidly changing environments and situations.

o Flexible and willing to accept change in priorities.

o Strong analytical, communication skills.

o Strong technical development background

o Excellent written and oral communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

o Experience with Appian software, implementation and ability to translate software requirements specifications into Appian applications and prototype.

o Using one or more Appian add-on tools, such as Expression Unit Tests, Deployment Automation Manager, FitNesse test creation, SAIL UI and Smart Services

o Database, UI, XML and XSLT experience.

o Knowledge of GIT and DevOps tooling.

o Experience with Jira and Confluence tools.

o JavaScript programming (general and component-based UI).

o Debug and work with log files.

o Federal Acquisition/Contracting Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $200,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year
