The Application Engineer is part of the Technology Deployment team and will provide expertise and support to customers and the commercial team. This role interacts directly with customer technical teams and will coordinate between the R&D department, Sales, Engineering, Quality Control, and Production. You will manage customer requirements and match to Fisher Barton expertise and capabilities and develop technical relationships with customers engineering teams.
You will do this by:
· Developing solutions and solving customer problems
· Providing Technical support and training for customers and Fisher Barton commercial team
· Enhancing and developing technical relationships with customers
· Coordinating technical response to customer needs
· Participating in key sales situations
· Participating in Trade shows / customer dealer events
· Representing Fisher Barton in technical events and societies

Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
· Solid understanding of materials engineering requirements and processes
· Proficient in computers and specific software; Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Epicor, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
· 5+ years’ experience in Engineering, and or Technical Sales in B2B environment
· Experience in manufacturing environment
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
· Support business development efforts, including cost estimation and preparation of white papers and proposals
Travel Required:
· Up to 25% travel
