Job Description :

This is a unique opportunity to be in a position that allows intimate involvement in various sized projects from start to finish and provides a great deal of satisfaction seeing projects come to fruition by your direction.

This role is responsible for the successful completion of overhead crane design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Identifying customers needs both through direct communication with customers and by way of Construction plans and specifications

- Seeking out and selecting components that meet project requirements

- Generate CAD drawings for the various stages of the project including quote drawings, shop and submittal drawings, fabrication and installation drawings.

- Working closely with vendors and subcontractors to manage project schedules & details

- Generating customer quotes for turn key installations

- Maintaining customer relationships

Required abilities:

- Strong understanding of mechanical and electromechanical systems

- 2D CAD experience, 3D (Solidworks) is a plus

- Efficient with Office environment and general computer savviness

- Ability to accurately understand customer desires and requirements

- Very strong self learner - ability to find accurate answers

- Highly organized and ability to follow processes and procedures

- Disciplined time management

Explanation of job position:

This position is responsible for all technical aspects and project management tasks related to the sale and installation of overhead cranes and related equipment. A general outline of duties throughout a typical project look like this:

QUOTE STAGE:

  • Identify Project Requirements
  • This is done through some combination of direct communication with the customer and reading plans and specifications.
  • This would also generally include site visits and gathering dimensions and site specific data relevant to the project.
  • Selecting the appropriate system type and configuration
  • Preliminary system design
  • Configuring and gathering quotes on required components
  • Generating the customer quote and explaining system details with the customer

POST ORDER / JOB STAGE:

  • Finalize all details of system components and design
  • Identify project specific requirements including specific documentation and approvals needed
  • Generate and submit purchase orders for components
  • Create system drawings, fabrication drawings and installation drawings
  • Coordinate fabrication and installation activities
  • Provide on site installation support and supervision
  • Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
