Job Description :

- Responsible for the overall strategy, planning, delivery, and support of a complex service or group of smaller services, ensuring services are delivering value to the customer and performant for the customer.

- Provide strong technical expertise in Business Availability, with a strong vision in Operational thinking throughout Dish
- Oversee the quality of the infrastructure and products throughout the entire Operation lifecycle
- Drive for continuous improvement in performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, usability, and availability of the platform
- Leverage agile methodology concepts for quality, delivery, and continuous improvement
- Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and other operational directors to create and maintain a supportable roadmap
- Coaching and career development for engineering managers and staff.
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software operations
- 4+ years of experience leading one or more application or infrastructure teams
- BS or MS in Information Technology Management, Computer Engineering or related field preferred.
- Experience managing high-performing teams
- Experience with service-oriented architectures, applications, and services
- Experience operationally maintaining a customer facing web application
- An agile mindset (i.e. ship early, ship often, and iterate)
- History of designing, implementing, and operating large-scale systems to resolve complex business requirements.
- Experience managing 24x7 mission critical organizations.
- History of managing employees across multiple locations.
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Experience managing all aspects of 3rd party business relationships.
