Job Description :

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement and adhere to accounting processes for billing; collection of membership dues, family school tuition, facility use fees etc.
  • Process Accounts Payable with appropriate approval and signature in a timely manner.
  • Enter charitable gifts and process acknowledgment letters.
  • Gather documents to perform data entry and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, general ledger and bank reconciliations) and distribute them to the appropriate staff and lay leaders in a timely manner.
  • Process confidential financial aid requests with the Executive Director.
  • Communicate confidential financial matters efficiently.
  • Monitor invoices and expense reports.
  • Understand payroll process and benefits.
  • Reconciliation between Quickbooks and internal database.
  • Bi-weekly payroll entry, liasoning with payroll company, of submitted timecards and Executive Director approval.
  • Facilitating month-end and year-end closing and reporting.
  • Year-end distribution of 1099s and W2s.
  • Posting and adjusting GL and journal entries as directed.
  • Credit card reconciliation and coding (payments and receivables).
  • Providing excellent internal customer service on behalf of finance to all areas of the organization.
  • Data entry, pulling reports, preparing statements, account research.
  • Office functions such as scanning & mailing checks.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Five to ten years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
  • Proficient in Quickbooks Desktop
  • Proficient in processing Payroll
  • Knowledge of Shulcloud database program a plus but not required
  • Non-profit experience is a plus
  • Candidates with the above years of experience and / or relevant degree experience will be considered

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
