Residential Building Materials Sales

Are you interested in a fast paced and rewarding career? Hilltop Lumber is looking to hire a full time Salesperson/Estimator to join our fun, fast, and hardworking team. Hilltop Lumber is a family owned and operated company serving professional contractors and homeowners since 1988.

Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to prepare custom estimates to be used in residential construction. These residential building estimates are prepared for by our Salespeople along with special requests by our customers for new construction and remodeling. Pay for this position will be commission based with a draw and an oppotunity for a very good income. This is a combination of office and job/construction site work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Consult with contractors & customers on their building plans & projects.

2. Prepare material lists for each drawing as a work in progress.

3. Demonstrate good judgment in respecting the confidentiality of customer, company and personnel information.

4. Seek guidance and direction in the performance of responsibilities and duties.

5. Maintain cooperative working relationships with fellow employees.

6. Demonstrate good judgment and reasoning in investigating and solving problems.

7. Determining construction required to support plan design.

8. Size beams for plan.

9. Prepare estimates of material square foot costs as needed.

10. Perform all other duties assigned.

Qualification:

· 2-3 Years of Estimating experience minimum.

· Valid vehicle drivers license

Skills & abilities:

· Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

· Lumber and building materials experience required.

· Desire and work ethic to learn and understand construction industry

· Math skills to calculate using simple geometry and algebra

· Ability to effectively present features and benefits and answer questions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,162.47 - $111,620.45 per year
