Princeton Radiology Associates is a physician group practice currently providing diagnostic imaging services at ten imaging centers and two hospitals in New Jersey.
Princeton Radiology is currently seeking a full-time Radiology Operations Manager (Float) for our outpatient diagnostic imaging centers.
Summary of Position:
The Radiology Operations Manager (Float) manages and monitors all technologist schedules for Princeton, Monroe, Quakerbridge and ultrasound technologist schedules for Freehold and Marlboro. This position will fill-in for all Radiology Operations Managers during absences and will plan, organize, direct, and control the daily administrative and clinical operations of assigned multi-modality outpatient diagnostic imaging centers. Responsible for assisting the Director with planning, staffing, performance management, communication, compliance with standards and regulations, customer service, quality initiatives, the application of mission and values, organizational improvement and projects.
Responsibilities:
· Manages and monitors technologists’ schedules:
· Oversee daily all practice patient schedules to ensure block-outs are opened accordingly.
· As back-up to the Radiology Operations Managers at the eight outpatient diagnostic imaging centers, direct all imaging center activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations for front desk patient flow, patient care, and quality assurance.
· Oversee OSHA compliance and training for entire practice.
· Assist with hiring prospective employees in conjunction with Director and other managers.
· Develop, implement, and administer procedures and best practices to streamline processes for center operations.
· Assist with the development of goals and project plans in line with organization strategic plans.
· Assess all imaging centers performance through quality control, continuous quality improvement, procedure volumes, and other pertinent indicators of success.
· Ensure regular communication with internal and external customers within areas of responsibility. Convey issues to senior management timely and ensure direct reports are kept informed on organizational issues and developments.
· Resolve complaints from patients, referring physicians, radiologists, and organizational departments in a timely manner.
· Identify requirements and ensure compliance with the many accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies dealing specifically with diagnostic imaging practices including quality assurance, infection control, patient safety, radiation safety, and OSHA.
· Identify opportunities to enhance services provided to the community and all customers internal or external.
· Ensure imaging services are conveniently available to meet the needs of patients as determined by the medical staff; recommends and implements corrective action whenever necessary.
· Assist with the accreditation, use and maintenance of the equipment and facilities as needed.
· Initiate contact with referring physicians in order to maintain open lines of communication, solicit opinions and input regarding services being provided.
· Assist Director with developing controls and initiating audit tools to reduce or eliminate lost charges through the Radiology Information System.
· Ensure the PACS and RIS function of diagnostic imaging services is operating efficiently and providing the essential diagnostic information to all internal and external customers.
· Input VRad discrepancy information onto spreadsheet weekly, provide reports monthly to the QA Committee and quarterly to the Chief Operating Officer.
· Attend and participate in operations/manager meetings.
· Participate in and/or lead various projects as identified by management to support programs and initiatives.
· Contribute to and participate on various internal and external committees as appropriate or assigned.
· Continue personal and professional growth by staying abreast of technical developments in area of expertise.
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an approved school of medical radiography.
· Minimum five (5) years recent work experience as a RT, RDMS or CNMT, with a passion to learn healthcare operations management. Management experience a plus.
· Must work at all imaging facilities when needed. Must be willing to travel at least 50%.
· Exhibit sound analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
· Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, staff and the broader health care community.
· Exemplary organization, communication, project, and prioritization skills.
· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
· Proven expertise in compliance and regulatory requirements.
· Self‐starter who is results focused, consistently able to meet critical deadlines and adapts well to change.
· Experience working with RIS and PACS preferred.
· Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and Internet.
