About Sweetwater Valley Farm

We are a dairy farm located in Philadelphia, TN. We milk about 1,500 cows and make cheese on the farm. We have two retail shops and a café where we serve grilled cheeses and milkshakes. We are a big tourism destination to lots of travelers passing through that stop off of I-75 and highway 11.

What is the overall purpose of the job?

This job is all about creating an amazing experience for visitors stopping by our farm. Your job will vary on the day depending on staff and how busy the farm is.
You would mostly be working in our café, where we make grilled cheeses and milkshakes. This job will consist of working part time or full time during the day on Tuesdays- Saturdays. Saturday is our busiest day of the week so it will be required to work most Saturdays.

We are looking for someone who is positive, upbeat and eager to work hard. We feel that we have a fun company environment.

Key activities and responsibilities

• Greeting and interacting with customers when they arrive and letting them know where everything is
• Answering customer questions
• Running cash registers
• Answering the phone and taking phone orders
• Filling orders to ship out or for pickup
• Taking lunch and other orders in the cafe
• Assisting in preparing food for the day
• Prepping sandwiches on the grill
• Grilling sandwiches
• Serving food to customers
• Scooping ice cream and blending milkshakes
• Washing dishes
• Cleaning the café and retail areas, inside and outside and ensuring they are safe and hygienic at all times
• Stocking retail areas and café daily

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
